Academic Freedom and Tenure. The Statement of Academic Freedom and Tenure, 1940 Statement of Principles has been adopted as a basic guideline for University policies by action of the Board of Trustees. See Appendix B. To the extent that there are conflicts between this Agreement and these basic guidelines, the terms of this Agreement will prevail.
