A VERBAL STEP. Should an employee or employees claim to have a grievance, the aggrieved together with a representative of the Union shall take the matter up with the aggrieved’s immediate Supervisor for settlement or adjustment within five (5) working days knowledge of the occurrence. Should these parties fail to settle the matter, the same shall be reduced to writing on forms provided for that purpose and state remedy desired and refer to STEP 1. It is the intent of both union and management to put forth great effort in resolving grievances at this step.
