Transplantation Field definition

Transplantation Field means the commercial use of products that detect nucleic acid sequences for the screening of any biological materials intended for transfusion or transplantation, in each case from any donor, including autologous donors, other than the transfusion or transplantation of blood or its derivatives, components or replacements.

  • CHIRON retains the right to conduct research in any field, including to develop Products and, without prejudice to Section 2.3, Article 12 and the Blood Screening Agreements, retains all rights outside of the Field, including the nonexclusive right to practice and to grant licenses under the CHIRON Licensed Patents to make, have made, use, import, offer for sale and sell any products in the Transplantation Field.

  • During the applicable Royalty Term for each ReN Product or ReN NCT Product, on a country-by-country basis, ReN shall pay to SCI a *** royalty on any and all Net Sales of each ReN Product in the ReN Transplantation Field in such country and a *** royalty on any and all Net Sales of each ReN NCT in the ReN Discovery Field in such country, regardless of the number of Valid Claims of the SCI Patent Rights that are applicable.

  • Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, CHIRON grants to XXXXXX a nonexclusive option, exercisable only on an analyte-by-analyte basis, to obtain one or more nonexclusive, worldwide licenses, or sublicenses, as the case may be, on commercially reasonable terms, with right to sublicense XXXXXX Affiliates only, under the CHIRON Non-HCV/HIV Analyte Patent Rights, to make, have made, use, import, offer for sale and sell products in the Non-HCV Field and/or the Transplantation Field.

  • Vaccine means a specially prepared antigen which, upon administration to a person, will result in immunity and, specifically for the purposes of this rule, shall mean influenza and pneumococcal vaccines.

  • Bioassay means the determination of kinds, quantities or concentrations and, in some cases, the locations of radioactive material in the human body, whether by direct measurement, in vivo counting, or by analysis and evaluation of materials excreted or removed from the human body. For purposes of these rules, “radiobioassay” is an equivalent term.

  • Gene Therapy means a product or service for the treatment or prevention of a disease that utilizes ex vivo or in vivo delivery (via viral or nonviral gene transfer methods or systems) of Genetic Material, including any cell incorporating Genetic Material.

  • Medical marijuana product means a product that contains cannabinoids that have been extracted from plant material or the resin therefrom by physical or chemical means and is intended for administration to a licensed patient, including but not limited to concentrates, oils, tinctures, edibles, pills, topical forms, gels, creams, and other derivative forms, except that this term does not include live plant forms.

  • Biological Samples means any physical samples obtained from Study Participants in accordance with the Protocol for the purposes of the Study.

  • Pre-Licensed Therapist means an individual who has obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy and is registered with the BBS as an Associate CSW or MFT Intern acquiring hours for licensing. An individual’s registration is subject to regulations adopted by the BBS.

  • Marijuana products means concentrated marijuana products and marijuana products that are comprised of marijuana and other ingredients and are intended for use or consumption, such as, but not limited to, edible products, ointments, and tinctures.

  • Biological diversity means the variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems.

  • Cosmetology means any one and/or combination of practices generally and usually performed by and known as the occupation of beauty culturalist, cosmeticians, cosmetologists or hairdressers or any person holding him or herself out as practicing cosmetology in or upon a place or premises. Cosmetology shall include, but otherwise not be limited to, the following: embellishing, arranging, dressing, curling, waving, cleansing, beautifying, cutting, singeing, bleaching, coloring, or similar work upon the hair of any person by any means and with hands or mechanical or electrical apparatuses, devices or appliances or by use of cosmetic preparations, antiseptics, tonics, lotions, creams or otherwise, massaging, cleansing, stimulating, manipulating, exercising, beautifying or similar work, the scalp, face, neck, arms, hands, bust or upper part of the body, or manicuring, pedicuring or sculpting the nails of any person.

  • Opioid antidote means any drug, regardless of dosage amount or method of administration, which has been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of an opioid overdose. “Opioid antidote” includes, but is not limited to, naloxone hydrochloride, in any dosage amount, which is administered through nasal spray or any other FDA-approved means or methods.
