Members new to the GCAA on, or after, July 1, 1997, who are assigned to positions which include vacation time, may not carry forward from one year to the next accrued vacation days which exceed the number of days allocated for one (1) year.
If benefit eliminated from the GCEA CBA, this provision will be eliminated from the GCAA CBA.
At the approval of the GCAA President, administrators may be reimbursed for up to six (6) semester hours of college credits per year or CEU credits that are used to maintain administrative certification.

Additionally, parity will apply for any one-time off-schedule payments, not to include longevity or any similar stipends that are not considered “one-time.” For illustrative purposes, the GCAA ended the 2020-2021 contract year with a five (5) percent on-schedule wage concession from the 2014-2015 contract year.
If the five (5) percent on-schedule wage concession is fully restored for the 2021-2022 contract year and, if the GCEA ended the 2020-2021 contract year with a three (3) percent wage concession from the 2014-2015 contract year, and received a four (4) percent on-schedule increase for the 2021-2022 contract year, equating to one (1) percent in excess of restorative wages, members of the GCAA would receive an additional one (1) percent increase in wages above restoration from the 2014-2015 contract year.
In the event the District receives a financial windfall during the 2007- 2008; the 2008-2009 school year, the District shall re-open discussion for the respective school year compensation rates, which includes all economic areas within the contract, with the GCAA.
For the purposes of this Agreement, the parties agree that the Me-Too/Parity Clause will be dormant during the term of this Agreement, only as it relates to the negotiated wages between the District and the GCAA and the GCEA for their respective negotiated successor CBA’s, to the CBA’s that expired in 2024, including any off-schedule payments.
It is understood this Agreement reflects the restoration of wage concessions for the GCAA that began with the 2015- 2018 collective bargaining agreement, and continued through subsequent agreements with the 2018-2020 and 2020-2021 collective bargaining agreements.
