Perekedza Mwana definition

Perekedza Mwana means “Accompany the Child,” a jiti song that implores an older child to accompany a smaller one back to their own village as the sun sets. It can also mean a boy should accompany his girlfriend back to her village after spending some time together at his home. This workshop will focus on polyphony in jiti-style rhythms.
