Support Aide definition

Support Aide means one who is hired to provide support to Household Aides working in the dining room, kitchen and on the floors and is regularly scheduled to work less than the hours specified in Article 7.02, or works on a call-in basis. Students hired as Support Aides will not work alone at any time. (a) The provisions of this Agreement shall not apply to Support Aide except for the following Articles: (i) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.01-7.09, 7.11, 7.12, 8.01-8.04, 10.01, 11.07, 12.05, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24.02, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 33, 34 and Appendix “A”.

  • This Article shall apply only to the Home Support Aide Classification.

  • Should a Special 9 Education Support Aide be without a student assignment, the District may take the 10 appropriate steps to eliminate the position.

  • Computer Technician, Computer Services Assistant, Network Systems Support Aide, Building Secretaries, Maintenance employees, Senior Custodians, Automotive Mechanic I and II, Head Bus Driver, Senior Bus Driver, Clerk Typist, Stores Clerk and Switchboard Operator will work eight (8) hours plus a one-half (.5) hour unpaid lunch break.

  • The term “support staff member” as used herein shall include all full-time or regularly employed part-time Secretarial, Custodian/ Maintenance, Bus Driver, Bus Aide, Program Assistant, Teacher Aide, Family Support Aide and Instructional Aide, but excluding the Administrative Assistants of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, all Supervisors and all other employees.

  • For all classifications, except Support Aide, Employees will advance to the Job Rate after 700 hours worked.
