Superseniority definition

Superseniority means that an employee in a classification may be furnished work in his or her classification and department during layoffs irrespective of his/her seniority status. Superseniority shall be granted the senior employee in each classification.

Examples of Superseniority in a sentence

  • Superseniority protection from layoff and bumping shall be granted for a total of thirty (30) unit employees who must be members of either the Union's elected Executive Officers, the negotiating team or stewards duly designated by the Union.

  • Super-seniority shall be defined as the right to retain a position if another member of the unit would otherwise have the right to bump the EOPA officer from that position if there were a layoff and to retain the EOPA officer instead of a more senior employee in the event of a layoff.

  • Superseniority protection from layoff and bumping shall be 13 granted for a total of thirty (30) unit employees who must be members of 14 either the Union's elected Executive Officers, the negotiating team or 15 stewards duly designated by the Union.

  • Super-seniority of Union Officers: The Union President, Vice President, Secretary, & Secretary-Treasurer will have super-seniority with respect to layoffs only.

  • Super-seniority status shall not be available to any probationary employee.

  • Super-seniority granted under this section may not be used for promotional purposes.

  • Superseniority protection from layoff and bumping shall be granted 41 for a total of thirty (30) unit employees who must be members of either the Union's 42 elected Executive Officers, the negotiating team or stewards duly designated by the 43 Union.

  • Super-seniority of Union Officers: The Union President, Vice President, Secretary, & Secretary- Treasurer will have super-seniority with respect to layoffs only.

  • Superseniority for layoff and recall only shall apply for all Stewards.

  • Superseniority shall be accorded to ten (10) designated Union representatives for the purpose of layoff and recall only.

  • Seniority means length of service with the Employer.

  • Classification Seniority is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.

  • Bargaining Unit Seniority is defined as the length of continuous service within the bargaining unit since the last date of entry into the bargaining unit.

  • Medical Board means the board of physicians as provided by this chapter.

  • Medical cannabis means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.
