Sudden Illness Clause Samples

The Sudden Illness clause defines the procedures and rights of parties if one of them is unexpectedly incapacitated due to illness. Typically, this clause allows for the postponement or rescheduling of obligations, such as meetings, performances, or deadlines, when a party cannot fulfill their duties because of a sudden health issue. For example, if a key participant falls ill before a scheduled event, the clause may permit a delay without penalty. Its core function is to provide flexibility and fairness, ensuring that unforeseen medical emergencies do not result in automatic breaches or undue hardship.
