Stop Work Orders definition

Stop Work Orders. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Subcontract, a stop work order which relates to the Subcontractor’s Work, may, by issuance of written notice to Subcontractor, suspend all or any portion of the Work. Upon receipt of such written notice from Contractor, Subcontractor shall immediately cease all work as directed by Contractor. Subcontractor shall promptly resume all Work upon receipt of notice from Contractor that the stop work order has been lifted. Subcontractor shall make every effort to minimize all costs associated with stopping or resuming work. Subcontractor may not claim payment for any work performed during the stop work period.

Examples of Stop Work Orders in a sentence

  • Stop Work Orders may be issued for reasons such as a project exceeding budget, standard of performance, out of scope work, delay in project schedule, misrepresentations and the like.

  • The Court’s notice obligations under the foregoing sentence shall not apply to any Stop Work Orders issued by the Court under this Agreement or any Statement of Work.

  • The City may issue Stop Work Orders for violations arising under this Agreement or the regulations applied herein.

  • Issue Stop Work Orders, as directed by the City, in those cases where GEC Permittees have not complied with the erosion and sediment control regulations and/or with the conditions attached to the GEC Permit.

  • Any such order shall be specifically identified as a "Stop Work Order" issued pursuant to this Section 5.13 (MTA-Issued Stop Work Orders).

Related to Stop Work Orders

  • Stop Work Order means the written Notice, delivered in accordance with this Agreement, by which the State may require the Contractor to stop all, or any part, of the Work of this Agreement, for the period set forth in the Stop Work Order. The Stop Work Order shall be specifically identified as such and shall indicate that it is issued pursuant to the Stop Work provision in this Exhibit B.

  • The Work Order means the order placed by the Purchaser on the Supplier signed by the Purchaser including all attachments and appendices thereto and all documents incorporated by reference therein. The Work order shall be deemed as "Contract" appearing in the document.

  • Work Order means an individually negotiated document that is executed by both Parties and which authorizes a Project, if any, in an indefinite quantity Contract.

  • Programme of work means the Programme of work submitted by the contractor and approved by the Engineer-in-charge and includes and amendment thereto made from time to time and approved by the Engineer-in-charge;

  • Task Order means a separate order issued under this Contract.
