Stop Work Order definition

Stop Work Order means the written Notice, delivered in accordance with this Agreement, by which the State may require the Contractor to stop all, or any part, of the Work of this Agreement, for the period set forth in the Stop Work Order. The Stop Work Order shall be specifically identified as such and shall indicate that it is issued pursuant to the Stop Work provision in this Exhibit B.
Stop Work Order is defined in Appendix B. “Term” comprises the Initial Term and any Option Terms.
Stop Work Order means an order issued pursuant to section 6 of this local law.

Examples of Stop Work Order in a sentence

  • The Code Enforcement Officer shall cause the Stop Work Order, or a copy thereof, to be served on the owner of the affected property (and, if the owner is not the Permit Holder, on the Permit Holder) personally or byregistered mail and/or certified mail.

  • If, in the opinion of the Engineer, the Contractor is delayed in the performance of the Work by a Stop Work Order issued by any court, other public authority or the Engineer, and providing that such order was not issued as a result of any act or fault of the Contractor or of anyone employed by him directly or indirectly, then the Contract Time shall be extended by an amount to be determined by the Engineer.

  • If the CONTRACTOR fails to correct the problem causing the Stop Work Order and there is immediate threat to the public’s health, safety, or environmental protection, the COUNTY may perform any remedial activities necessary to protect the public and environment.
