Service Training. The District will provide annual training as follows: a. At least 6 hours of training in August. b. At least 4 hours of training on the annual staff Welcome Back event. c. At least 4 hours of training on annual Wellness Day event.

Service Training. The County Office shall provide a program of In Service Training for employees in the bargaining unit designed to maintain a high standard of performance, and to increase the skills of employees in the bargaining unit. There shall be an orientation program developed for all new employees and continuing education through In Service Training shall be provided. SCOE will pay the full cost, excluding any wages during hours other than normal working hours unless otherwise agreed to, but including transportation for job-related training, seminars and workshops which management has approved for employee participation. Employees shall have the right to suggest such training programs to their individual supervisors. The SEIU Council of Representatives shall study and make recommendations to the County Office regarding needed In Service Training.

• Any employee who enlisted or was inducted into military service under the provisions of the Federal Selective Service Training Act of 1940, as amended, shall be returned to his job and retain his seniority in accordance with that Act.

• The Contractor shall provide, at least annually, Customer Service Training for all front office staff.

• The Union acknowledges that the Employer’s Customer Service Training Program is an essential ingredient of the Employer’s business strategies and objectives and are a necessary and reasonable exercise of management’s rights.
