Qualified zone definition

Qualified zone means any census tract or county certified as such by the authority in KRS 154.23-015 and 154.23-020;
Qualified zone means an area of Puerto Rico that has been designated as an opportunity zone under Section 1400Z-1 (b)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, as demarcated in the map maintained by the US Department of Treasury, and designated as a qualified zone by the Committee through regulations, circular letter, administrative determination, or general information bulletin.

  • Qualified building means a building built at least 30 years before the date of application, located within a designated downtown or, village center, or neighborhood development area, which, upon completion of the project supported by the tax credit, will be an income-producing building not used solely as a single-family residence. Churches and other buildings owned by religious organization may be qualified buildings, but in no event shall tax credits be used for religious worship.

  • Qualified Census Tract means any Census tract which is designated by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development as having 50 percent or more of the households at an income level which is less than 60 percent of the Area Gross Median Income in accordance with Section 42(d)(5) of the Code.

  • Qualified User means a person (e.g., employee, consultant, contingent staff) who: (1) is a user of a Qualified Device, or (2) accesses any server software requiring an Enterprise Product Client Access License or any Enterprise Online Service.   • Qualified disabled veteran means a business entity that is 51% or more owned by one or more veterans with a service- connected disability.

  • Qualified Tenant means a tenant (i) with income not exceeding that permitted by the Minimum Set-Aside Test who leases a Low-Income Apartment Unit in the Project under a lease having an original term of not less than 6 months at a rent which satisfies the Rent Restriction Test and (ii) complying with any other requirements imposed by the Project Documents.

  • Qualified REIT Subsidiary means any Subsidiary of the General Partner that is a “qualified REIT subsidiary” within the meaning of Section 856(i) of the Code.

  • Qualified Assets means any of the following assets: (i) interests, rights, options, warrants or convertible or exchangeable securities of the Partnership; (ii) Debt issued by the Partnership or any Subsidiary thereof in connection with the incurrence of Funding Debt; (iii) equity interests in Qualified REIT Subsidiaries and limited liability companies (or other entities disregarded from their sole owner for U.S. federal income tax purposes, including wholly owned grantor trusts) whose assets consist solely of Qualified Assets; (iv) up to a one percent (1%) equity interest in any partnership or limited liability company at least ninety-nine percent (99%) of the equity of which is owned, directly or indirectly, by the Partnership; (v) cash held for payment of administrative expenses or pending distribution to security holders of the General Partner or any wholly owned Subsidiary thereof or pending contribution to the Partnership; and (vi) other tangible and intangible assets that, taken as a whole, are de minimis in relation to the net assets of the Partnership and its Subsidiaries.

  • Qualified nonprofit organization means, with respect to a Project, an organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c) (3) or (4) of the Internal Revenue Code, which is not and during the Compliance Period will not be affiliated with or controlled by a for-profit organization, whose exempt purposes include the fostering of low income housing, which owns an interest in the Project, which will materially participate in the development and operation of the Project throughout the Compliance Period, and which is not affiliated with or controlled by a for-profit organization.

  • Qualified wages ’ means wages you paid during the one-year period beginning with the date the ex-offender begins working for you. Only wages that are subject to unemployment tax under IRC Section 3306 qualify. This includes amounts in excess of the maximum taxable wage. Wages paid during any period for which you received federally funded payments for on-the-job training for the ex-offender do not qualify.
