Trainee means an employee engaged under the terms of this award and in accordance with the provisions of an Australian Traineeship established pursuant to Section 37D of the Industrial and Commercial Training Act 1975 and approved by the State Management Committee.
Probation means a period of six (6) months from the day upon which an employee is first appointed or a period of three (3) months after an employee has been transferred or promoted. If an employee does not successfully complete his probationary period on transfer or promotion, the Employer shall appoint him to a position comparable to the one from which he was transferred or promoted;
Probationer means any individual holding a probationary faculty appointment.
Period of Severance means a continuous period of time during which an Employee is not employed by the Employer. Such period begins on the date the Employee retires, quits or is discharged, or if earlier, the twelve (12) month anniversary of the date on which the Employee was otherwise first absent from service.
Transition training means written and verbal instructions
