POKAGON COUNCIL definition

POKAGON COUNCIL means the duly elected, governing legislative body of the Band described pursuant to Public Law 102-323 or, at the option of the Band, a designee committee or council created pursuant to resolution or ordinance of the Pokagon Council.

Examples of POKAGON COUNCIL in a sentence

  • The Band appoints the Chairman of the Pokagon Council and the Secretary of the Pokagon Council as its agents for service of all process under or relating to the Agreements.

  • Where approval or consent or other action of the Band is required, such approval shall mean the written approval of the Pokagon Council evidenced by a resolution thereof, certified by a Band official as having been duly adopted, or such other person or entity designated by resolution of the Pokagon Council.

  • Any settlement of a third party claim or cause of action shall require approval of the Business Board and, as to claims in excess of $100,000 not covered by insurance, by the Pokagon Council (which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld).
