Nursing facility services definition

Nursing facility services means the level of care provided in a medical institution licensed for nursing services or skilled nursing services for the purposes of rule 441—75.23(249A).
Nursing facility services means nursing facility services covered by the Medicaid program that a nursing facility provides to a resident of the nursing facility who is a Medicaid recipient eligible for Medicaid-covered nursing facility services.

Nursing facility services. The STAR+PLUS MCO must ensure Members have access to Nursing Facility services effective March 1, 2015. Nursing facilities that are licensed, certified, and have a valid DADS contract on September 1, 2013, will be included on the STP list. PCPs associated with Nursing Facilities must have admitting privileges to Network Hospitals. Ambulance providers: The MCO must enter into a Network Provider Agreement with any willing ambulance provider that meets the MCO's credentialing requirements and agrees to the MCO's contract rates and terms.
