Nurse Representative definition

Nurse Representative means a nurse who is appointed by the Union for the purposes of Union-Management relations. Without intending to limit the generality of the foregoing, this may include representation during meetings and/or negotiations with the Employer arising out of the Collective Agreement.

Examples of Nurse Representative in a sentence

  • The Employer may institute a grievance by giving written notice to the Nurse Representative and the grievance shall be processed in a manner similar to Step #2.

  • One (1) Nurse Representative and an alternate representative who will be authorized to represent the nurses in the absence of the Nurse Representative.

  • If the permitted activity would interfere with the work of the Nurse Representative or other employees, the responsible supervisor(s) shall arrange in a timely fashion for a mutually satisfactory time to perform the requested activity.

  • The Hospital will recognize one (1) Nurse Representative or an alternate.

  • Nurses having grievances may discuss these with the Nurse Representative during coffee breaks and the lunch period, but not during working hours, except in cases where the circumstances require immediate attention.

  • In the event of a suspension or discharge the nurse shall have a Nurse Representative in attendance at any interview unless specifically requested by the nurse not to have representation.

Related to Nurse Representative

  • Workplace Representative means a person: (i) who is an Employee; (ii) chosen and appointed by an individual Employee or a number of Employees to represent them in relation to the terms of this Agreement; and (iii) who acts on the instructions of the Employee or Employees that appointed the Workplace Representative.

  • Licensee representative means an owner, director, officer, manager, employee, agent, or other representative of a licensee, to the extent that the person acts in a representative capacity.

  • Employee Representative means a person (whether an employee or not) elected or chosen by an employee, or elected or chosen by a group of employees in a workplace, to represent the individual and/or collective views of those employees in relation to a matter under this Agreement.

  • Disclosure Representative means the Finance Director, or his or her designee, or such other person as the Issuer shall designate in writing to the Disclosure Dissemination Agent from time to time as the person responsible for providing Information to the Disclosure Dissemination Agent.

  • Estate Representative means an executor, an administrator, an administrator with the will annexed, a liquidator, or an estate trustee with a will or without a will, whether one or more than one is so appointed;
