Normal commute definition

Normal commute is the round trip distance from a faculty member’s home to the downtown campus locations
Normal commute means the average travel time between an employee’s residence and their normal work location.

Examples of Normal commute in a sentence

  • Normal commute time and mileage between home and work are not compensated.

  • Normal commute time between a telework location and permanent/principal work location is not work time.

  • Normal commute time between the employee’s home and the newsroom, normal local work assignment location, and/or first local assignment of the day shall not be considered working time.

  • Normal commute time between a telework location and the county office location is not work time.

  • Normal commute time for employees residing at temporary residences and traveling to temporary work sites, will be thirty (30) minutes.

  • Normal commute time between the employee’s home and the newsroom and/or normal fixed work assignment location shall not be considered working time.

  • Construction and Maintenance‌ Normal commute time for employees residing at temporary residences and traveling to temporary work sites, will be thirty (30) minutes.
