Micro-grid definition

Micro-grid means an aggregation of multiple Distributed Energy Resource Facilities behind the Interconnection Customer’s meter at a single Point of Interconnection that has the capability to island.
Micro-grid. .- means a group of interconnected loads and distributed energy resources within electrical parameters clearly defined by the Bureau, which acts as a single controllable entity with respect to the transmission and distribution system of the electric network. The micro-grids will have the ability to connect and disconnect from the transmission and distribution system of the Authority, so that they can operate both interconnected and "off the grid". The goal of the micro-grids is to strengthen the resilience of the electricity grid, promote distributed generation based on largely renewable energy and promote strategies to reduce electricity consumption.
