Leave Donation definition

Leave Donation. The existing leave bank provisions will be replaced with the following:
Leave Donation means a current employee of the City whose voluntary written request to deposit leave in a leave bank under a major disaster leave-sharing plan is approved by Human Resources.

Examples of Leave Donation in a sentence

  • A qualifying employee who has exhausted his/her availability of donated leave under the Sick Leave Bank policy may utilize sick days donated by individual employees as per the Individual Sick Leave Donation Program below.

  • Employees covered by this Agreement may participate in the County's Compassionate Annual Leave Donation Program and are subject to the same guidelines and eligibility requirements as non-represented employees.

  • An employee may donate cashable annual leave to a fellow employee who is qualified under the MOA’s Leave Donation Program.

  • Section 4 Employees covered by this Agreement may participate in the County's Sick Leave Donation Program subject to the same guidelines and eligibility requirements as non- represented employees.

  • Unit members applying for catastrophic leave days/hours must submit to the Office of Human Resources the Faculty Catastrophic Leave Donation and Request Form together with a letter of request and a signed and dated doctor’s statement verifying the incapacitating nature and probable duration of illness or injury.

  • The Union and the Employer agree to negotiate the implementation of Short Term and Long Disability Policies with the intent of eliminating the State Employees Leave Bank, the Employee-to-Employee Leave Donation Program and MDOT's Advanced and Extended Sick Leave Policies.

  • The intent of the Sick Leave Donation Program is to allow bargaining unit Employees to voluntarily provide assistance to co-workers in the bargaining unit who are in critical need of medical leave due to an extended injury or illness.

  • A donor may voluntarily donate annual and personal leave to an employee within the donor’s agency who meets the requirements of the Leave Donation Program.

  • The form “Request for Sick Leave Donation Plan Benefits” and physician’s statement must be submitted to the president of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Administrators and Supervisors Association.

  • Volunteers who wish to donate any of their earned sick leave must complete and sign the Family Crisis Leave Donation Form and return the form to the FCTA Office.

Related to Leave Donation

  • Leave means authorized absence from duty by an employee during his or her regular or normal hours of work;

  • Medically necessary leave of absence means any change in enrollment at the post-secondary school that begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury, is medically necessary, and causes the child to lose student status for purposes of coverage under the Plan.

  • Leave of Absence means absent from work with permission.

  • Approved Leave of Absence means an absence from active service pursuant to an approved leave policy with a guaranteed right of reinstatement.

  • Mass layoff means a reduction in employment force that is not the result of a business closing and results in an employment loss at a single site of employment during any thirty-day period of twenty-five or more employees, other than part-time employees.
