Lean Project Delivery definition

Lean Project Delivery means promoting Project efforts to pursue the following objectives: (i) increasing the relatedness of members of the Integrated Project Delivery Team; (ii) collaborating throughout planning, design, construction and commissioning with all members of the IPD Team; (iii) planning and managing the Project as a network of commitments; (iv) optimizing the Project as a whole, rather than any particular piece; and (v) tightly coupling learning with action (promoting continuous improvement throughout the life of the Project).
Lean Project Delivery means utilizing principles and techniques to promote efficient and effective project delivery that maximizes Owner value through open communications, reliable promising, collaboration, waste reduction, commitment-based planning, aligned incentives and continuous improvement through root cause assessment.   • Design Build Entity shall design the Project utilizing Lean Project Delivery Methods, including, without limitation, the Target Value Design approach, to ensure the Project design is consistent with the Performance Criteria Documents and does not exceed the Target GMP.

  • The term “Lean Construction Institute” means that member-based organization based in Virginia that assists members in delivering projects using Lean Project Delivery Methods.

  • The IPD Team shall implement the principles of Lean Project Delivery.

  • The "Core Group" is responsible for coordination and overall management and administration of the Project consistent with this Agreement and Lean Project Delivery principles.

  • Design Build Entity shall design the Project utilizing Lean Project Delivery Methods, including, without limitation, the Target Value Design approach, to ensure the Project design is consistent with the Performance Criteria Documents and does not exceed the Stipulated Sum.

  • The goal of Lean Project Delivery is production of defect-free work at the least cost and in the least time possible.

  • The final form must be consistent with Lean Project Delivery principles and acceptable to the initial Core Group in all respects.
