Involuntary Restriction means the involuntary restriction of an individual for the convenience of a caregiver or to discipline the individual. Involuntary restriction may include but is not limited to placing restrictions on an individual’s freedom of movement by restriction to their room or a specific area, or restriction from access to ordinarily accessible areas of the facility, residence or program, unless agreed to by the treatment plan.
