Hospitalized means admitted to a Hospital for a period of at least 24 hours or where the patient is charged by the Hospital for a minimum of one day of inpatient charges.
Qualified Termination has the meaning set forth in Section 4(b).
Qualified disabled veteran means a business entity that is 51% or more owned by one or more veterans with a service- connected disability.
Student with a disability is defined as an individual who: ● is still enrolled in secondary school and has not exited, graduated, or withdrawn; ● is at least 14 years old but less than 22; ● and has a disability (i.e., receives services under an IEP or 504 plan, or has a disability for purposes of section 504). The limited Pre-ETS that may be provided, based on identified need and the availability of services, include: ● Job exploration counseling ● Work-based learning experiences, which may include in-school or after school opportunities, experiences outside of the traditional school setting, and/or internships ● Counseling on opportunities for enrollment in comprehensive transition or post- secondary educational programs ● Workplace readiness training to develop social skills and independent living ● Instruction in self-advocacy Authorizations for Pre-ETS. DORS only pays for Pre-ETS services that have been previously authorized by a DORS official in writing. Pre-ETS Reporting: Completion of the Pre-Employment Transition Services Progress Report (Rs10f), Work Based Learning Experience Agreement (Rs10g), Work Based Learning Experience on site workplace readiness Training Report (Rs10e), or approved alternative form is required at the conclusion of the training or at agreed upon intervals.
Approved Retirement means any voluntary termination of employment that occurs on or after the date on which the sum of your age and years of employment with Deluxe and/or its Affiliates equals at least seventy-five (75) and that is approved by the Compensation Committee of the Board.
Long-Term Disability means the Grantee is receiving long-term disability benefits under the Employer’s long-term disability plan.
Involuntary Termination means a termination of your employment with the Company pursuant to either (i) a termination initiated by the Company without Cause, or (ii) your resignation for Good Reason, and provided in either case such termination constitutes a Separation from Service. An Involuntary Termination does not include any other termination of your employment, including a termination due to your death or disability.
Qualifying Termination means a termination of the Executive’s employment either (i) by a Company Group member without Cause (excluding by reason of Executive’s death or Disability) or (ii) by the Executive for Good Reason, in either case, during the Change in Control Period (a “Qualifying CIC Termination”) or outside of the Change in Control Period (a “Qualifying Non-CIC Termination”).
Totally and Permanently Disabled means a disability as defined in 42 USC 416.
Child with a disability means a child who, by reason of any of the following, needs special education and related services:
Involuntary Termination Without Cause means Executive’s dismissal or discharge other than for Cause. The termination of Executive’s employment as a result of Executive’s death or disability will not be deemed to be an Involuntary Termination Without Cause.
Service-connected disability means a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty in the active military, naval, or air service as described in 38 USC 101(16).
Qualified disability expenses means that term as defined in section 529A of the internal revenue code.
Management Company Employee means an individual employed by a Person providing management services to the Company which are required for the ongoing successful operation of the business enterprise of the Company, but excluding a Person engaged in Investor Relations Activities;
public hospital means a governmental entity of a political subdivision of the state of Iowa that is authorized by legislative authority. For purposes of this subrule, a “public hospital” must also meet the requirements of Iowa Code section 249J.3. Under Iowa Code section 249J.3, a “public hospital” must be licensed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 135B and governed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 145A (merged hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347 (county hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347A (county hospitals payable from revenue), or Iowa Code chapter 392 (creation by city of a hospital or health care facility). For the purposes of this definition, “public hospital” does not include a hospital or medical care facility that is funded, operated, or administered by the Iowa department of human services, Iowa department of corrections, or board of regents, or the Iowa Veterans Home.
Service-disabled veteran-owned business means a service-disabled veteran-owned business located in the State of Tennessee that satisfies the criteria in Tenn. Code. Ann. § 12-3-1102(8). "Service-disabled veteran" means any person who served honorably in active duty in the armed forces of the United States with at least a twenty percent (20%) disability that is service-connected, i.e., the disability was incurred or aggravated in the line of duty in the active military, naval or air service.
Intellectually Disabled means a disability that is characterized by significantly below average general cognitive functioning existing concurrently with deficits in adaptive behavior; manifested during the developmental period that adversely affects a student's educational performance and is characterized by one of the following:
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means any change in enrollment at the post-secondary school that begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury, is medically necessary, and causes the child to lose student status for purposes of coverage under the Plan.
Individual with a disability means an individual who:
Off-highway implement of husbandry means the same as that term is defined in Section 41-22-2.
Termination After Change in Control means either of the following events occurring within twelve (12) months after a Change in Control:
Involuntary Termination of Employment means any termination of Executive's employment by the Company and its subsidiaries, other than a termination for Cause or due to death or Disability.
Service-disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16).
Armed Forces service medal veteran means any veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985 (61 FR 1209).
Change in Control of the Company means the occurrence of any of the following events:
