Ballast means an electronic light source control gear between supply and light source to stabilise the electrical current of a gas-discharge light source;
Ballast water means water with its suspended matter taken on board a ship to control trim, list, draught, stability or stresses of the ship.
Check Meter means the Buyer revenue-quality meter section(s) or meter(s), which Buyer may require at its discretion, and which will include those devices normally supplied by Buyer or Seller under the applicable utility electric service requirements.
Grease means an organic substance recoverable by procedures set forth in Standard Methods and includes but is not limited to hydrocarbons, esters, fats, oils, waxes, and high molecular weight carboxylic acids.
washing means a process of separation by water using only size as a criterion.
