High school means grades 9 through 12.
District and high school graduation rate means the annual completion and pupil dropout rate that is calculated by the center pursuant to nationally recognized standards.
School nurse means a registered professional nurse with Maine Department of Education certification for school nursing.
School bus means every motor vehicle owned by a public or governmental agency or private school and operated for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity, to or from school or school activities, or, privately owned and operated for compensation for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity to or from school or school activities (Education Law §11[1] and Vehicle and Traffic Law §142).
School day means any day or partial day that students are in attendance at school for instructional purposes.
School climate means the quality and character of school life with a particular focus on the quality of the relationships within the school community between and among students and adults.
Public school academy means a public school academy or strict discipline academy organized under the revised school code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1 to 380.1852.
District and high school graduation report means a report of the number of pupils, excluding adult education participants, in the district for the immediately preceding school year, adjusted for those pupils who have transferred into or out of the district or high school, who leave high school with a diploma or other credential of equal status.
Backsiphonage means the flow of water or other liquids, mixtures or substances into the potable water system from any source other than its intended source, caused by the reduction of pressure in the potable water system.
School zone means an area near a school beginning at the school's front door, encompassing
Preschool means a program licensed to offer early childhood services, which follows a preschool curriculum and course of study designed primarily to enhance the educational development of the children enrolled and which serves no child for more than three hours per day.
Graduate means a person who has obtained an approved degree of a recognised university, or possesses qualifications deemed by the Executive Director to be equivalent to such a degree.
School means an elementary or secondary school.
School service means a website, mobile application or online service that (i) is designed and marketed solely for use in elementary or secondary schools; (ii) is used (a) at the direction of teachers or other employees at elementary or secondary schools or (b) by any school-affiliated entity; and (iii) collects and maintains, uses or shares student personal information. "School service" does not include a website, mobile application or online service that is (a) used for the purposes of college and career readiness assessment or (b) designed and marketed for use by individuals or entities generally, even if it is also marketed for use in elementary or secondary schools.
School year means the period beginning July 1 and ending June 30 next following.
Weapon free school zone means school property and a vehicle used by a school to transport students to or from school property.
graduate psychiatric nurse means a person whose name is entered on the register of graduate psychiatric nurses of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba. The terms of this Agreement shall be applicable to the graduate nurse, the graduate practical nurse, graduate psychiatric nurse, and graduate nurse practitioner, except as otherwise specified in the Collective Agreement.
Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Preschooler means a child age two through four years old.
graduate nurse means a person whose name is entered on the graduate nurse register of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. A graduate nurse extended practice means a person whose name is entered on the graduate nurse extended practice register of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. A “graduate practical nurse” means a person whose name is entered on the register of graduate practical nurses of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba. A “graduate psychiatric nurse” means a person whose name is entered on the register of graduate psychiatric nurses of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba. The terms of this Agreement shall be applicable to the graduate nurse, the graduate practical nurse, graduate psychiatric nurse, and graduate nurse practitioner, except as otherwise specified in the Collective Agreement.
Driver means a person who drives or is in actual physical control of a vehicle.
School grounds means in, or on the grounds of, a school.
Middle school means a public school with any grades 6 through 8.
Head of School means the "Head of School or director of research institute or such other member of school or institute to whom the responsibility has been delegated".
Anesthesiologist means a physician granted clinical privileges to administer anesthesia.
Fresher means a student who has been admitted to an institution and who is undergoing his/her first year of study in such institution.
