Flooding emergency definition

Flooding emergency means a circumstance in which the board has determined that the district is required to take immediate action to protect reduce injury to life or damage to property from injury or damage resulting from during an existing or imminent flooding flood event.

Such situations may require immediate and expeditious action by an explosives or munitions emergency response specialist to control, mitigate, or eliminate the threat.

  • Flooding means a volume of water that is too great to be confined within the banks or walls of the stream, water body or conveyance system and that overflows onto adjacent lands, thereby causing or threatening damage.
