If Standby Insurance is allowed to lapse or the beneficiary is reassigned while the SA- Affiliated CI Member is still alive, the member becomes liable to pay for any Standby services that have been provided prior to this time, under this plan.
The SA-Affiliated CI Member must obtain Standby Insurance acceptable to SA, naming SA as beneficiary.
Each CI Member Country may designate an official entity with which CI may communicate in connection with any matter arising under this Agreement.
If an SA-Affiliated CI Member ceases to receive SA coverage, the Flat-Rate Fee will be refunded in full unless some Standby procedures have been performed, in which case a refund will be made on a pro-rata basis at the discretion of SA.
If an SA-Affiliated CI Member ceases to be eligible for SA coverage without ever receiving a Standby, the Deployment Fee will be refunded in full.
Each CI Member Country shall take the action necessary to give effect in its own territory to the legal status, preferential treatment, exemptions and facilities of CI and CI Personnel set out in this Chapter 3 and shall inform CI of the action that it has taken on the matter.
Any proposal of a CI Member Country to amend this Agreement shall be communicated to the Chairperson of the Governing Council, who shall promptly bring the proposal before the Governing Council.
CI Member Countries shall respect the international character of this duty and shall refrain from all attempts to influence any of the Management or staff in the discharge of their functions.
When an amendment has been adopted, CI shall so certify in an official communication addressed to all CI Member Countries.
