Expanded role definition

Expanded role of a registered nurse means a process of diffusion and implies multi‑directional change. Expansion, as a process of role change, is undertaken to fill perceived needs in the health care system, and also to project new components or systems of health care. The authority base for practice from which the expanded role emanates is the body of knowledge that constitutes a nurse’s preparation for practice. The expanded role of a registered nurse requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill, but does not require or permit medical diagnosis or medical prescription of therapeutic or corrective measures. The expanded role of a licensed practical nurse with special education and training includes performing delegated professional nursing activities, as authorized by the board under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, but does not authorize violation of state law pertaining to medical or pharmacy practice.

  • Expanded learning means before school, after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. It is the intent of the Legislature that expanded learning programs are pupil-centered, results driven, include community partners, and complement, but do not replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year.   • License Type means the type of license granted be it subscription license for a specified duration or a perpetual license, such information being as specified in the Notification Form.

  • Research Budget has the meaning set forth in Section 3.2.

  • Service Specific Terms means the HCL document current at the date of Order which contains any terms specifically relating to a Service ordered by the Customer.

  • Commencement of Commercial Production means: (i) if a mill is located on the Property, the last day of a period of 40 consecutive days in which, for not less than 30 days, the mill processed ore from the Property at 60% of its rated concentrating capacity; or (ii) if a mill is not located on the Property, the last day of a period of 30 consecutive days during which ore has been shipped from the Property on a reasonably regular basis for the purpose of earning revenues, but any period of time during which ore or concentrate is shipped from the Property for testing purposes, or during which milling operations are undertaken as initial tune-up, shall not be taken into account in determining the date of Commencement of Commercial Production;
