Eight (8) hour definition

Eight (8) hour shift” shall be considered, for the purpose of this MOA, to be any shift of 6 hours up to 8 hours worked.

Examples of Eight (8) hour in a sentence

  • Eight (8) hour overtime opportunities will first be offered to those employees on an eight (8) hour shift schedule.

  • Eight (8) hour employees who work a holiday (8 hours) shall receive twenty (20) hours pay for that holiday.

  • Eight (8) hour shifts, except in certain cases, will be; day shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; afternoon shift 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; night shift 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; except by mutual agreement or in the case of emergency or unusual circumstances in which case schedule may be changed by the Employer.

  • Eight (8) hour a day employees will have their work schedule adjusted to permit attendance at these meetings.

  • Eight (8) hour custodial, facilities and Food and Nutrition employees shall be scheduled an 8 1/2 hour shift with a 30-minute meal break within the shift as specified under section 4.15.

  • Eight (8) hour employees who are required to work less than three (3) hours before commencing their lunch period shall receive overtime pay for the time between the start of their lunch period and the three (3) hour ▇▇▇▇.

  • Eight (8) hour employees shall be accorded a minimum of one (1) fifteen (15) minute rest period in the morning and in the afternoon within working hours plus a minimum of thirty (30) minutes for lunch each day.

  • Eight (8) hour tugs (a) and and rates per calendar day must be referred to.

  • Eight (8) hour employees who are required to work less than three (3) hours before commencing their meal period shall receive overtime pay for the time between the start of the meal period and the three (3) hour ▇▇▇▇.

  • Eight (8) hour shift employees will be scheduled for at least two (2) consecutive days off in each of their work weeks.

  • Clock hour means either of the following:

  • Flight Hour means each hour or part thereof elapsing from the moment at which the wheels of the Aircraft (or other aircraft in the case of Parts or Engines temporarily installed on such other aircraft) leave the ground on the take-off of the Aircraft (or such other aircraft) until the wheels of the Aircraft (or such other aircraft) touch the ground on the landing of the Aircraft (or such other aircraft) following such take-off.

  • Kilowatt-hour or “kWh” shall mean three decimal six million (3.6 10E6) Joule

  • Yearly (1/Year) sampling frequency means the sampling shall be done in the month of September, unless specifically identified otherwise in the effluent limitations and monitoring requirements table.

  • Semi-annual (2/Year) sampling frequency means the sampling shall be done during the months of June and December, unless specifically identified otherwise.
