Domestic violence protective order means an order issued after a hearing of which the subject of the order received actual notice and at which the subject had the opportunity to participate, and issued under:
Domestic violence protective order means a temporary or permanent court order related to domestic violence, harassment, and/or sexual abuse, issued for the purpose of preventing violent or threatening acts or harassment against, or contact or communication with, or physical proximity to another person. Protective order includes any temporary or final order issued in the civil or criminal context, whether obtained by filing an independent action or as an order awaiting further litigation in another proceeding, provided the order was issued in response to a complaint, petition, or motion filed by or on behalf of a person seeking protection.

  • Designated domestic violence agency means a county-wide organization with a primary purpose to provide services to victims of domestic violence, and which provides services that conform to the core domestic violence services profile as defined by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency in the Department of Children and Families and is under contract with the division for the express purpose of providing the services.

  • Proceeds of Crime Act means the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (Canada), as amended from time to time, and including all regulations thereunder.

  • Anti-Terrorism Laws are any laws relating to terrorism or money laundering, including Executive Order No. 13224 (effective September 24, 2001), the USA PATRIOT Act, the laws comprising or implementing the Bank Secrecy Act, and the laws administered by OFAC.

  • Proceeds of crime means any property derived from or obtained, directly or indirectly, through the commission of an offence;

  • Disaster Management Act means the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No.57 of 2002)

  • Bank Secrecy Act means the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970, as amended.

The criteria contained in the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act for a "certified act of terrorism" include the following:

  • Crime of violence means any of the following offenses under federal, state, or local law: murder, manslaughter, kidnapping, aggravated assault, forcible sex offenses (including where consent to the conduct is not given or is not legally valid, such as where consent to the conduct is involuntary, incompetent, or coerced), statutory rape, sexual abuse of a minor, robbery, arson, extortion, extortionate extension of credit, burglary of a dwelling, or any other offense under federal, state, or local law that has as an element the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against the person of another.

  • Control Act means the Casino Control Act 1984-1985;

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Laws shall have the meaning assigned thereto in Section 3.1(f)(i).

  • Foreign terrorist organization means an organization designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States secretary of state as authorized by 8 U.S.C. Section 1189.

  • Housing Act means the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, or its successor.
