Detector check meter definition
Detector check meter means a meter that is installed in a bypass arrangement with a DCDA (ASSE 1048) or RPDA (ASSE 1047) and used to measure a portion of water used in a fire sprinkler system.
Detector check meter means a meter that is installed on a fire service line to indicate flow. Such meter will not measure how much flow there was, but will measure only that there has been flow. The only authorized flow through a fire service line is in the event of a test, provided notice to the city has been provided in advance, or in the event of a fire.
