Deadweight (DW) means the difference in metric tons between the displacement of a ship in water of a specify gravity of 1.025 at the load waterline corresponding to the assigned summer freeboard and the lightweight of the ship.
tons means the gross tonnage calculated in accordance with the tonnage measurement regulations contained in Annex I of the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships, 1969; the word “tonnage” shall be construed accordingly.
U.S.-flag vessel means a vessel of the United States or belonging to the United States, including any vessel registered or having national status under the laws of the United States.
Actual Shipments means volumes of Crude Petroleum that originate on the Pipeline at the Receipt Point and that are ultimately delivered at a Delivery Point. All volumes shall be measured at the Receipt Point.
ro-ro passenger ship means a passenger ship provided with cargo or vehicle spaces not normally subdivided in any way and extending to either a substantial length or the entire length of the ship in which vehicles or cargo can be loaded or unloaded in a horizontal direction;
