Conspire definition

Conspire means that a person agrees with one or more other persons to engage in conduct that would facilitate the possession of contraband by an inmate and commits an overt act in pursuance of the agreement. For purposes of this ordinance, the other person involved may be an inmate.
Conspire means to form an agreement with one or more persons with the intent to commit an illegal act as set out under this Law;
Conspire means to engage in activity constituting a criminal conspiracy as defined in Section 13A-4-3. [§ 13A-12-23(b)]

  • Intimidating, threatening, abusive, or harming conduct means, but is not limited to, conduct that does the following:

  • Intimidate means to cause in the mind of a person a reasonable apprehension of injury to him or to any member of his family or to any of his dependants or of violence or damage to any person or property.

  • Prohibited Business shall be defined as any business and any branch, office or operation thereof, which is a primary competitor of the Company with respect to the Business wherever the Company does business, in North America or abroad.

  • Collusion means the unauthorized collaboration with another person in preparing written work offered for credit.

  • Anti-competitive Practice means any collusion, bid rigging or anti-competitive arrangement, or any other practice coming under the purview of The Competition Act 2002, between two or more bidders, with or without the knowledge of the Purchaser, that may impair the transparency, fairness and the progress of the procurement process or to establish bid prices at artificial, non-competitive levels;

  • Violent offense means a violent offense as defined in RCW 9.94A.030;

  • Knowingly means that a person, with respect to information: (1) has actual knowledge of the information; (2) acts in deliberate ignorance of the truth or falsity of the information; or (3) acts in reckless disregard of the truth or falsity of the information, and no proof of specific intent to defraud is required.

  • Recruit means any full-time or part-time law enforcement

  • Anti-Terrorism Order means Executive Order No. 13,224 of September 24, 2001, Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions with Persons Who Commit, Threaten to Commit or Support Terrorism, 66 U.S. Fed. Reg. 49, 079 (2001), as amended.

  • Commit means, unless specified otherwise:

  • Violent criminal activity means any criminal activity that has as one of its elements the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force substantial enough to cause, or be reasonably likely to cause, serious bodily injury or property damage.

  • coercive practice means harming or threatening to harm, directly or indirectly, persons or their property to influence their participation in the procurement process or affect the execution of a contract;

  • Sexually oriented business means an adult arcade, adult bookstore or adult video store, adult cabaret, adult motel, adult motion picture theater, adult theater, escort agency, nude model studio, or sexual encounter center.

  • Trafficking means offering, attempting to engage, or

  • collusive practice means a scheme or arrangement between two or more Bidders, with or without the knowledge of the Purchaser, designed to establish bid prices at artificial, non- competitive levels; and

  • Violent crime means a forcible felony, as defined in Iowa Code section 702.11, and includes any other felony or aggravated misdemeanor which involved the actual or threatened infliction of physical or emotional injury on one or more persons.

  • Racketeering activity means to commit, to attempt to commit, to conspire to commit, or to solicit, coerce, or intimidate another person to commit:

  • Corrupt activities means any corrupt activities as contemplated in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act 2004 (Act no. 12 of 2004)

  • restrictive practice means forming a cartel or arriving at any understanding or arrangement among Bidders with the objective of restricting or manipulating a full and fair competition in the Bidding Process.

  • Coerce means to compel or attempt to compel a person to act in a given manner or to refrain from acting in a given manner by pressure, intimidation, or threat of harm, damage, breach of contract, or other adverse consequences, including, but not limited to, the loss of any benefit available to other new motor vehicle dealers of the same line make in this state. The term does not include any of the following actions by a manufacturer:

  • Solicit means (A) requesting that a contribution be made, (B) participating in any fund-raising activities for a candidate committee, exploratory committee, political committee or party committee, including, but not limited to, forwarding tickets to potential contributors, receiving contributions for transmission to any such committee or bundling contributions, (C) serving as chairperson, treasurer or deputy treasurer of any such committee, or (D) establishing a political committee for the sole purpose of soliciting or receiving contributions for any committee. Solicit does not include: (i) making a contribution that is otherwise permitted by Chapter 155 of the Connecticut General Statutes; (ii) informing any person of a position taken by a candidate for public office or a public official, (iii) notifying the person of any activities of, or contact information for, any candidate for public office; or (iv) serving as a member in any party committee or as an officer of such committee that is not otherwise prohibited in this section.

  • Prohibited Person means any Person:

  • corrupt practice means the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of anything of value to influence the action of a public official in the procurement process or in contract execution.

  • Nonviolent offense means an offense which is not a violent

  • Violent felony means any offense that, if committed by an adult, would constitute a felony and:

  • Drug-related criminal activity means the illegal manufacture, sale, distribution, use, or possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute, or use of a controlled substance (as defined in Section 102 or the Controlled Substance Act [21 U.S.C. 802]).
