Class I area definition

Class I area means a mandatory visibility protection area designated pursuant to section 169A of the federal Clean Air Act.
Class I area means any prevention of significant deterioration area (i) in which virtually any deterioration of existing air quality is considered significant and (ii) designated as such in 9VAC5-20-205.
Class I area means any area designated under section 162 or 164 of the Federal Clean Air Act as a Class I area. The following areas are the Class I areas in Washington state:

  • The extent of a mandatory Class I area includes subsequent changes in boundaries, such as park expansions.

More Definitions of Class I area

Class I area means any area designated pursuant to Sections 162 or 164 of the Federal Clean Air Act as a Class I area. The following areas are the Class I areas located within Washington state:
Class I area or “PSD Class I area” means any Federal, State or Indian reservation land which is classified or reclassified as a Class I area under OAR 340-204-0050 and 340-204-0060.
Class I area means any area listed as Class I in 40 CFR Part 81 Subpart D, including Section 81.405, or an area otherwise specified as Class I in the legislation that creates a national monument, a national primitive area, a national preserve, a national recreational area, a national wild and scenic river, a national wildlife refuge,or a national lakeshore or seashore.
Class I area means any area designated under section 162 or 164 of the federal Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C., Sec. 7472 or 7474) as a Class I area. The following areas are the Class I areas in Washing- ton state:
Class I area means any area designated as Class I under Title I, Part C of the federal Clean Air Act. As of April 27, 2016, the Agua Tibia National Wilderness Area was the only area so designated within San Diego County. Class I area means any one of the Arizona mandatory federal Class I areas defined in A.R.S. § 49-401.01.
Class I area or "PSD Class I area" means any Federal, State, or Indian reservation land which is classified or reclassified as a Class I area under LRAPA title 29.
