Bereavement Pay. In the event of death in the immediate family of a non-probationary employee, the shall work during normal work week (Monday through Friday) and will I hours the employee’s straight time rate, for work days. Examples of Bereavement Pay in a sentence

  • Any member of staff who loses a child under the age of 18 or suffers a stillbirth from 24 weeks of pregnancy, and has been employed at the school for at least 26 weeks up to the end of the ‘relevant week’ (i.e. the week, ending with a Saturday, immediately before the week of the death or stillbirth), will be able to claim Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay (SPBP).

  • Bereavement Pay Benefits means the benefits as set out in Article II hereof.

  • Accumulated leave means the period of time that is accumulated under the Plan as leave during a work period.

  • Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.

  • Paid leave means time away from work by an employee for which the employee receives compensation, and is limited to sick time, vacation time, compensatory time and leave that is provided as an aggregate amount for use at the discretion of the employee for any of these same purposes.   • Tuition means the total amount of money charged for the cost of a qualifying student to attend an independent school including, but not limited to, fees for attending the school and school-related transportation.

  • maternity or paternity leave of absence means, for Plan Years beginning after December 31, 1984, an absence from work for any period by reason of the Employee's pregnancy, birth of the Employee's child, placement of a child with the Employee in connection with the adoption of such child, or any absence for the purpose of caring for such child for a period immediately following such birth or placement. For this purpose, Hours of Service shall be credited for the computation period in which the absence from work begins, only if credit therefore is necessary to prevent the Employee from incurring a 1-Year Break in Service, or, in any other case, in the immediately following computation period. The Hours of Service credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall be those which would normally have been credited but for such absence, or, in any case in which the Administrator is unable to determine such hours normally credited, eight (8) Hours of Service per day. The total Hours of Service required to be credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall not exceed 501.

  • FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.

  • Vacation means annual vacation with pay.

  • Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.

  • Accrued Professional Compensation means, at any given moment, all accrued, contingent and/or unpaid fees and expenses (including, without limitation, success fees) for legal, financial advisory, accounting and other services and reimbursement of expenses that are awardable and allowable under section 328, 330(a) or 331 of the Bankruptcy Code and were rendered before the Effective Date by any Retained Professional in the Chapter 11 Cases, or that are awardable and allowable under section 503 of the Bankruptcy Code, that have not been denied by a Final Order, all to the extent that any such fees and expenses have not been previously paid (regardless of whether a fee application has been filed for any such amount). To the extent that the Bankruptcy Court or any higher court denies or reduces by a Final Order any amount of a Retained Professional’s fees or expenses, then those reduced or denied amounts shall no longer constitute Accrued Professional Compensation.

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.
