Basic TV definition

Basic TV means the delivery and/or exhibition of a motion picture, television show or other entertainment product by any means of transmission to a television set or other viewing device by any technology (whether now known or hereafter devised), which may be advertising supported, where the consumer is charged a monthly or other periodic subscription fee for the first or lowest tier (i.e, “basic” tier) of service, in excess of any obligatory fees or charges for the subscriber to receive Free TV signals, regardless of whether such exhibition is on a regularly scheduled (i.e., linear) basis and/or made available to the consumer on an on-demand basis (i.e., where the timing of such delivery and/or exhibition is not pre-determined, but rather is at the consumer’s discretion). With respect to delivery of content on Basic TV which is not by means of a closed system (i.e., coaxial cable networks, digital satellite networks or closed digital subscriber lines (ADSL), in each case within the private domain of a service provider) but rather by means of Internet transmission (e.g., Internet simulcast, Internet on-demand), such content shall be made available only on an authenticated basis (i.e., where access is pre- conditioned on a consumer’s existing, authenticated subscription to the linear, closed system Basic TV service). For clarity, Basic TV does not include any Subscription Pay TV, Free TV or SVOD.
Basic TV means basic cable or satellite TV service is furnished at no charge to the main living room of the unit as part of this Lease. Resident (together with other residents of a Unit, as applicable) may contract directly with Provider for upgrades or additional services. All charges associated with any upgraded or different service, including any installation, activation or cancellation charges, are the sole responsibility of the Resident(s) of a Unit obtaining such service.
Basic TV is the Product-type characterized by at least the following functionalities: supports standard definition or high definition (up to 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall) television and which is limited to only unidirectional broadcast reception capabilities.

Examples of Basic TV in a sentence

  • The License Period for each episode of such Program commences on its Availability Date and ends on the earliest of (a) three (3) years after the Availability Date, (b) the termination of this Agreement for any reason permitted hereunder and (c) with respect to the Basic TV Licensed Services (and corresponding Simulcast Licensed Services and SVOD Enhancement Licensed Services), after the completion of the Maximum Permitted Number of Exhibitions.

  • Licensee shall pay the Basic TV Fees, SVOD Fees and SVOD Extension Fees in a manner to be mutually agreed but in no event later than thirty (30) days after receipt of an invoice from Licensor.

  • Basic TV and Internet service are provided as part of your contract and charges incurred above those basic services are the responsibility of the tenant.

  • The License Period for each episode of such Program commences on its Availability Date and ends on the earliest of (a) three (3) years after the Availability Date, (b) the termination of this Agreement for any reason and (c) with respect to the Authorized Basic TV Services, after the completion of the authorized exhibitions.

  • In no event shall there be any restrictions on Licensor’s right to exploit (a) any Library Series that is already under license to one or more Free Broadcast Television services, Basic Television Services or Subscription Pay Television Services in the Territory as of its Availability Date hereunder, (b) any Library Series that is licensed hereunder solely for exhibition on an SVOD Standalone basis (i.e., not for exhibition on the Basic TV Service(s)) or (c) any of the Library Films.

  • The License Period for each Library Program commences on its Availability Date and ends on the earliest of (a) end of the applicable time period set forth in the Non-Exclusive Library Pricing Chart in Schedule I (unless otherwise agreed between the parties, which may vary the applicable License Fees), (b) the termination of this Agreement for any reason permitted hereunder and (c) with respect to the Basic TV Licensed Services, after the completion of the Maximum Permitted Number of Exhibitions.

  • The Maximum Permitted Number of Exhibitions for each episode of such Program is fifteen (15) Playdates on the Basic TV Licensed Services.

  • For clarity, in no event shall Licensor license, or authorize the exploitation of, a season of Breaking Bad to both a pan-regional linear Basic TV licensee and a local linear Basic TV licensee in a given country in Latin America.

  • Licensee shall pay (i) the Basic TV Fee for Season 4, the SVOD Fee (i.e., for Season 4) and the Season 1-3 SVOD Fee in eight (8) equal quarterly installments commencing on the Availability Date and (ii) any SVOD Extension Fees in a manner to be mutually agreed but in no event later than thirty (30) days after receipt of an invoice from Licensor.

  • The SVOD Enhancement Window for each episode of such Program shall be the following number of days after each Basic TV Licensed Service exhibition of such episode hereunder, provided that in no event shall an SVOD Enhancement Window continue after the end of the applicable episode’s License Period: (a) twenty-four (24) days for Season 1 of such Program and (b) seventeen (17) days for each other season, if any, of such Program.


More Definitions of Basic TV

Basic TV means the encrypted transmission of the content via a programmed service, the reception of which is based on payment of a periodic (usually monthly) fee by a subscriber for the reception of such programmed service (typically, but not necessarily) along with one or more additional program services, and which service is supported by advertising revenues (including sponsorships). Basic TV shall exclude Pay Television, Pay-Per-View, Free TV, SVOD, FVOD, AVOD and TVOD.

Related to Basic TV

  • Basic Term means that term commencing as of the date of this Lease and ending on April 1, 2024, subject to prior termination as specified in this Lease, but ending, in any event, when all of the principal of and interest on all Outstanding Bonds shall have been paid in full or provision made for their payment in accordance with the provisions of the Indenture.

  • Basic Cable Service means any service tier, which includes the retransmission of local television broadcast signals as defined by the FCC.

  • Basic generation service or "BGS" means electric generation

  • Annual Fixed Rent See Exhibit A, and Section 3.1.

  • Basic Costs means all direct and indirect costs and expenses incurred in connection with the Building as more fully defined in Exhibit C attached hereto.
