Asbestiform fibers definition

Asbestiform fibers means fibers at least five (5) micrometers in length, with a length-to-diameter ratio of at least 3 to 1, and with a maximum diameter of three (3) micrometers.

Examples of Asbestiform fibers in a sentence

  • Asbestiform fibers have many commercial applications because of their stability in acids and alkalies, thermal and electrical insulating properties, and high tensile strength.

  • Asbestiform fibers wider than 1.0 µm are always bundles of fibrils.

  • Asbestiform fibers are flexible and exhibit high tensile strength.
