Archive Interface Server definition

Archive Interface Server or “AIS” means a server or component that works with the Voice Processing Module (VPM) to record radio traffic on Motorola’s ASTRO twenty-five (25) systems. It sends all related metadata for each radio transmission, which includes talkgroup, radio ID, primary alias, call type, time, and date. It also acts as a decryption service for private radio transmission, so that audio can be passed to a digital logging recorder.
