In September, 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding was executed between the Board of Education and Sheetz, Inc. to exchange two small parcels allowing Sheetz, Inc. to expand and improve the existing Sheetz store located at 3281 Main Street in Manchester. In consideration, Sheetz, Inc. agreed to pay $140,000 to replace two playgrounds and construct a sensory garden at Manchester Elementary School. In addition, $10,000 was provided to the Board of Education to install a fence and landscaping between Board of Education property and the Sheetz store.
