THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (this “MOU”) is made and entered into as of this day of June, 2022 (the “Effective Date”), by and between the City of Newport, Oregon, an Oregon municipal corporation (“City”), and the State of Oregon, acting by and through the Oregon Department of Forestry (“ODF”). City and ODF are each a “Party” and together the “Parties.” ORS Chapter 190 authorizes written agreements between units of local government and state agencies for the performance of any or all functions and activities that a party to the agreement has authority to perform.
