When overtime is required on a job site and there is a usual crew at that site, the overtime work shall be offered to the usual site employees first. SHIFT WORK: When more than one shift is in operation, hourly rated employees, employed on the second (2nd) shift and/or those employed on the third (3rd) shift, shall be paid a premium of fifteen percent (15%) over the regular hourly rate of pay. Work in excess of eight (8) hours per shift shall be paid at overtime rates including the shift premium, but such shift premium shall not be included in the calculation of overtime. REST PERIOD Rest period will be measured from the time the employee is able to sit down until the time they rise from the lunch table.

  • Apprentice Wages (a) Apprentices’ rates of pay are set out in Appendix B which includes the description of the calculations.

  • Adult Apprentices People who are 21 years of age or over at the time of entering into an apprenticeship with the Employer will be paid as per the wage rates set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement.   • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5.   • Safety Footwear Allowance Effective 1/1/07, the Contra Costa Community College District will provide an initial two pairs of safety/protective work boots or shoes for employees in the following classifications: Building Maintenance Worker, Equipment Maintenance Worker, Senior Equipment Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Mechanic, Lead Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Assistant, Ground Worker / Gardener I, II, Senior or Lead, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, and all other mutually agreed upon classifications required to wear safety; protective shoes per OSHA/ASTM standards.
