Common use of WORKWEEK AND BASIC WORKWEEK Clause in Contracts

WORKWEEK AND BASIC WORKWEEK. A workweek is defined to consist of seven consecutive calendar days and a basic workweek is defined to consist of five workdays of eight hours each. The days in the basic workweek shall be known as workdays and other days in the workweek shall be known as non-workdays. Employees may be scheduled to work more or less than five days per week or more or less than eight hours per day, but in any such event the basic workweek shall continue to be as herein defined. Except as provided in Section 10.3, the basic workweek shall be from Monday through Friday or from Tuesday through Saturday. Employees may be assigned to the basic workweek of Tuesday through Saturday in rotation.
