Common use of Workers Comp Clause in Contracts

Workers Comp. 19 In the event employees are absent for reasons which are covered by industrial insurance, the 20 District shall pay the employee an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid the 21 employee by the Department of Labor and Industries and the amount the employee would 22 normally earn, to the extent of his/her accumulated sick leave. A deduction shall be made from 23 the employee's accumulated sick leave in accordance with the amount paid to the employee by 24 the District.
