Common use of WORK STOPPAGE Clause in Contracts

WORK STOPPAGE. 10.1 The public interest in the efficient and uninterrupted performance of all City Services being paramount, the City and the Union to this end pledge their best efforts to avoid or eliminate any conduct contrary to this objective. Specifically, the Union shall not cause or condone, and employees covered by this Agreement shall not cause or engage in, any work stoppage, strike, slowdown, or other interference with City functions during the term of this agreement. 10.2 The Union, and its officers and representatives shall, in good faith, use every reasonable effort to terminate such unauthorized action.
