Work Package 2. 2.1. Necessary prepared subgrade thickness calculations on embankments made out from QS0, QS1, QS2 and QS3 soils (soil quality classes and calculation methodology is described in UIC 719R); 2.2. Propose at least three cost-effective ways to stabilize “high plasticity soils with more than 15% of fines” (QS0 and QS1 soils according to UIC 719R).
