Work on Certain Holidays. 1. A Newswriter/News Assistant who works on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day or New Year’s Day as a regular work day hereunder shall be paid additional compensation at one (1) times his or her straight-time rate of pay for all hours so worked, excluding overtime hours or other hours paid for at premium rates of pay. 2. A Newswriter/News Assistant who does not work on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day or New Year’s Day shall be paid eight (8) hours of straight-time. 3. Should a holiday fall on the sixth day of work for any Newswriter/News Assistant, the premium paid shall be based on the compensation paid for that sixth day.
