Work on Certain Holidays. 1. A Newswriter/News Assistant who works on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day or New Year’s Day as a regular work day hereunder shall be paid additional compensation at one (1) times his or her straight-time rate of pay for all hours so worked, excluding overtime hours or other hours paid for at premium rates of pay.
2. A Newswriter/News Assistant who does not work on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day or New Year’s Day shall be paid eight (8) hours of straight-time.
3. Should a holiday fall on the sixth day of work for any Newswriter/News Assistant, the premium paid shall be based on the compensation paid for that sixth day.
Work on Certain Holidays. Employees who work on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas day shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all such hours in addition to holiday pay at a regular rate.
