Work in a Higher Classification. Any teacher required to work in a higher classification for more than ten (10) consecutive days or fifteen (15) cumulative days during the school year shall be paid at their current rate or at the base rate of the position to which the teacher is assigned in the higher classification, whichever is higher, for the duration of such assignment. Any teacher required to work in a higher classification as per the provisions of this Section shall be considered to remain a member of this bargaining unit for all purposes, except for the amount of the base salary for the time that the teacher is required to work in a said higher classification.
