Word Scan. 1. Select the language of the text that you desire to scan from the [Recognition Lan- guage]. 2. Click the [Scan Mode] button to select the [Word Scan] mode, an extension window will appear under the toolbar. 3. Open any word processor, for example Microsoft Word or WordPad and click the location where you can input, or click the [Online Translation] button to open Babylon or other dictionary, . 4. Place a document on a flat surface and place the scan tip in front of the word you desire to check. Aim the arrow at the center of the desired word, then press and drag the WorldPenScan pen in a straight line across the word. During the scanning, please make sure the white auxiliary light is on. 5. Stop applying pressure to the pen to stop scanning. The scanned word and meaning or translation is displayed in the Babylon or web dictionary. 6. If you scan more than one word, you can press the function button on the WorldPen- Scan pen to choose next recognizable word or use your mouse to highlight a word from the extension window, the selected word will be sent to the cursor location. So you can literally check the meaning or translation of your choice.

  • Use of School Buildings The ASSOCIATION and its representatives shall have the right to use school buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings. This use must be within the hours when custodians are regularly employed and within accepted school policy.

  • DATABASE OF RESTRICTED SUPPLIERS 34.1 The process of restriction is used to exclude a company/person from conducting future business with Transnet and other organs of state for a specified period. No Bid shall be awarded to a Bidder whose name (or any of its members, directors, partners or trustees) appear on the Register of Tender Defaulters kept by National Treasury, or who have been placed on National Treasury’s List of Restricted Suppliers. Transnet reserves the right to withdraw an award, or cancel a contract concluded with a Bidder should it be established, at any time, that a bidder has been restricted with National Treasury by another government institution. 34.2 All the stipulations on Transnet’s restriction process as laid down in Transnet’s Supply Chain Policy and Procurement Procedures Manual are included herein by way of reference. Below follows a condensed summary of this restriction procedure. 34.3 On completion of the restriction procedure, Transnet will submit the restricted entity’s details (including the identity number of the individuals and registration number of the entity) to National Treasury for placement on National Treasury’s Database of Restricted Suppliers for the specified period of exclusion. National Treasury will make the final decision on whether to restrict an entity from doing business with any organ of state for a period not exceeding 10 years and place the entity concerned on the Database of Restricted Suppliers published on its official website 34.4 The decision to restrict is based on one of the grounds for restriction. The standard of proof to commence the restriction process is whether a “prima facie” (i.e. on the face of it) case has been established. 34.5 Depending on the seriousness of the misconduct and the strategic importance of the Goods/Services, in addition to restricting a company/person from future business, Transnet may decide to terminate some or all existing contracts with the company/person as well. 34.6 A supplier or contractor to Transnet may not subcontract any portion of the contract to a restricted company.

  • Use of sub-processors 1. The data processor shall meet the requirements specified in Article 28(2) and (4) GDPR in order to engage another processor (a sub-processor). 2. The data processor shall therefore not engage another processor (sub-processor) for the fulfilment of the Clauses without the prior general notification of the data controller. 3. The data processor has the data controller’s general authorisation for the engagement of sub-proces- sors. The data processor shall inform the data controller of any intended changes concerning the addi- tion or replacement of sub-processors at least 14 days in advance, thereby giving the data controller the opportunity to object to such changes prior to the engagement of the concerned sub-processor(s). Longer time periods of prior notice for specific sub-processing services can be provided in Appendix B. The list of sub-processors already authorised by the data controller can be found in Appendix B. 4. Where the data processor engages a sub-processor for carrying out specific processing activities on behalf of the data controller, the same data protection obligations as set out in the Clauses shall be imposed on that sub-processor by way of a contract or other legal act under EU or Member State law, in particular providing sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures in such a manner that the processing will meet the requirements of the Clauses and the GDPR. The data processor shall therefore be responsible for requiring that the sub-processor at least complies with the obligations to which the data processor is subject pursuant to the Clauses and the GDPR. 5. A copy of such a sub-processor agreement and subsequent amendments shall – at the data controller’s request – be submitted to the data controller, thereby giving the data controller the opportunity to ensure that the same data protection obligations as set out in the Clauses are imposed on the sub-processor. Clauses on business related issues that do not affect the legal data protection content of the sub-pro- cessor agreement, shall not require submission to the data controller. 6. The data processor shall agree a third-party beneficiary clause with the sub-processor where – in the event of bankruptcy of the data processor – the data controller shall be a third-party beneficiary to the sub-processor agreement and shall have the right to enforce the agreement against the sub-processor engaged by the data processor, e.g., enabling the data controller to instruct the sub-processor to delete or return the personal data. 7. If the sub-processor does not fulfil his data protection obligations, the data processor shall remain fully liable to the data controller as regards the fulfilment of the obligations of the sub-processor. This does not affect the rights of the data subjects under the GDPR – in particular those foreseen in Articles 79 and 82 GDPR – against the data controller and the data processor, including the sub-processor.
