Common use of Withholding of Increments Clause in Contracts

Withholding of Increments. It shall be clearly understood by all custodial employees that negotiated salary schedules or individual contracts do not guarantee an automatic salary increase. The Board reserves the right to withhold for inefficiency or good cause, any and all employment adjustment and merit increments. In the event the Board wishes to exercise such a right, it does hereby agree to follow this procedure.
