When Your Coverage Begins When You Can Enroll or Make Changes. When you are first eligible, you and your eligible dependents may enroll by completing an application through your employer/agent within the first thirty-one (31) following your eligibility date. So long as we receive your membership application within that timeframe and your premium is paid, your coverage begins on the first day of the month following your eligibility date. If you or your dependents fail to enroll at this time, you cannot enroll in the plan unless you do so through an Open Enrollment Period or a Special Enrollment Period.
